Celebrating the Works of Patricia Swannell
Breast Cancer Now
I was honoured to work on a special commission celebrating the life and work of artist Patricia Swannell, in collaboration with Jaggerdart Gallery and Breast Cancer Now. After her passing, her husband, Robert Swannell, hosted a dinner at Frameless to honor her legacy and raise funds for Breast Cancer Now, which nows funds The Patricia Swannell dormancy and late recurrence research funding programme.
For this event, I animated Patricia’s delicate, nature-inspired artworks, transforming them into interactive projections that enveloped guests in her world. The evening was beautifully curated, with tables adorned with the very leaves and plants Patricia had been drying in her studio, alongside tree trunks and bark that influenced her work.
The space was further brought to life with leaves, bark, and natural materials Patricia had been working with in her studio—creating an experience that felt intimate, immersive, and emotionally resonant.
